Avatar Aang, or simply Aang, is the titular protagonist of the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise. He is the last surviving Airbender, and a monk of the Air Nomads' Southern Air Temple, who, as the Avatar, is tasked with bringing balance and keeping the Four Nations at peace.
