Aries is a supporting character in the anime/manga series Fairy Tail. She is one of the twelve Zodiac Celestial Spirits and an old friend of Loke. Her key was formerly owned by Karen Lilica and then Angel, before the latter's defeat at the hands of Lucy Heartfilia, after which the ownership of her key transferred over to Lucy.
She is voiced by Sayaka Narita in the Japanese version of the anime and Didi Archilla in the English version.
Appearance
Aries resembles a young woman with bubblegum pink hair, brown eyes and a pair of short twisted horns protruding from her head. Her clothing have a white and fluffy wool-like getup. However, her outfit little update the more often the more appearances she makes. For example, in her very first appearance, Aries did not have a satchel on her waist and her neck was covered in white wool rather than the pink wool shown in her recent appearance.
Personality
Aries is a very shy, honest, polite innocent and but then again and insecure spirit. This is likely a result of having two abusive masters in a row who used to abuse her character and honor. She frequently apologizes, regardless of whether or not she did anything right or wrong. She is very apologetic and seems to lack the courage to stand up for herself when any cruel human mistreat her ; when she was contracted to Karen, she took all the abuse she inflicted on her without a word of protest (though she was being sorry and did not complain because she was scared of cruel humans like Karen . Karen used to use her as meat shield,to entertain men in blue Pegasus even when Aries said "I'm not for entertaining men . Please leave me alone ." But Karen would blackmail and force her to do obey her despicable demand. After Bob had arguement the cruel mage and saying against her that celestial spirits are living beings , treat them poorly and you'll be the next one who suffers. But she was cruel and hateful to not understand Bob's moral . Karen crossed her limit on mistreatment and abuse on her and accused her on complaining to bob when she was being honest that she didn't. Karen almost wanted to finish her by keeping in human world a week. Sick of her cruelty, Leo switched gate of her and confront Karen. He blocked her ability to harness magic energy and stayed in the human world for three months, blocking her from summoning any spirit for three months, just so Karen has her lesson and change her disgusting behaviour. Then being Angel Sorano's spirit, she was summoned by her , angel called her a spoil of war as angel killed Karen and stole her keys . Then angel wanted to kill Lucy by her spirits and steal her keys in order to mistreat spirits. Loke has to fight for Lucy's life as he doesn't want to lose her and associate forcefully with cruel humans like Sorano. The ram spirit , apologetic, grateful to Loke for stopping Karen , but had to obey Sorano and fight him despite it being clear she doesn't want to, though she states that it's a matter of pride to obey master.
Being honest , timid and apologetic as she is, she is very sweet and able to appreciate how kind of an owner Lucy is, and is grateful to have her as owner . She just wanted to be respected for who she is . Her kindness is noted by Juvia, who was horrified by how rude and short-tempered her Eclipse equivalent was by comparison. She is quite easily frightened, but also very brave and still very willing to defend her owner.
