Biography
Dr. Basil Shaw, a close friend and associate of American archaeologist Indiana Jones, entrusted Jones with the honor of being the godfather to his daughter, Helena. At some point, the trio posed for a photograph together.
Near the end of World War II, Basil and Indiana became entangled in the aftermath of Jones' daring infiltration of a Nazi-occupied castle in 1944. This led to a high-stakes confrontation with SS Colonel Weber atop a moving train.
During the chaos, Basil accidentally wounded Jones when a misfired bullet ricocheted off the train's roof, adding to the archaeologist's growing tally of injuries, which totaled ten by 1969. Onboard the train, they discovered the Antikythera, a mysterious artifact that Basil later recounted to his daughter Helena. His stories inspired her quest for the enigmatic device in 1969, years after Basil’s death, which occurred around 1951.
