Chang Changku (張張湖) aka Cyborg 006 is the sixth of the 00 Cyborgs and one of the main protagonists of the Cyborg 009 franchise created by Shotaro Ishinomori. He is often seen with G.B./Cyborg 007.
He was voiced by the late Arihiro Fujimura in the first two films, Ichirō Nagai in 1968, the late Sanji Hase in 1979, Chafurin in 2003, Taro Masuoka in 2015 the movie, and Yū Mizushima in 2016 in the Japanese version, and by Jeff Manning in 1996 the movie, Steve Kramer in 2003, Michael Sorich in 2015 the movie, and Joe Ochman in 2016 in the English version.
History
Originally a famous chef from China, one day Chang attempted a fire-breathing trick for the guests at his restaurant and ended up burning down the building. After losing everything he owned, Chang attempted to commit suicide but failed and was abducted by Black Ghost.
At one of Black Ghost's laboratories, Chang was converted into the sixth model of Black Ghost's 00 Cyborg line, Cyborg 006. His cybernetic enhancements gave him the ability to breath fire capable of burning up to 3,000 degrees.
After Cyborg 009 was inundated into the 00 Cyborg line, 006 and the other 00 Cyborgs made their escape from Black Ghost with assistance from an ex-Black Ghost scientist named Dr. Gilmore. From their, 006 and the 00 Cyborgs began fighting against Black Ghost and their plans of instigating another world war.
