Heatwave is one of the main protagonists of the Television series, Transformers Rescue Bots and one of the supporting characters of it's sequel show, Transformers Rescue Bots Academy. Being known as a Hot-Headed yet determined male Rescue Bot who that transforms into a fire engine who is assigned as the leader of The Titular Team and become partners with Kade Burns. He dislikes the fact the Rescue Bots have to pretend they are mindless robots. In "Bumblebee to the Rescue," it is revealed that Heatwave desires to join Optimus Prime's team. He has short-tempered but understands the need to saving lives anything else.

He is voiced by Steve Blum, who also voiced Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy 9, Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop.

Biography

Season 1

In the show, He appears alongside his comrades after their ship crashed on earth when they encounter Optimus prime who tells them the devastating truth behind Cybertron before being assigned to work alongside Chief Charlie Burns and introduce their vehicle forms where they would scan and become undercover with the humans with Dani Burns, Kade, Graham and Kade Burns as their designated partners. Initially growing irritated by using his robotic voice to blend in with the people where Cody became suspicious during their ceremony where Headwave nudges Boulder not to break his cover due to a butterfly standing on his nose, their first duty was putting a stop to the fire at the central History museum where he helped to put out a fire and instinctively saves Graham from falling Debris, after on, Heatwave overhears the chief mentioning the Bunker below level and decides to send his team below for their free time, especially for himself to give space to vents about his frustrations with a Wing Chun Dummy over shifting his blue eyes by pretending to being a faulty machine with a slow metallic voice that overshadows his true self where Cody, after monitoring their activities for some time offers to teach the other rescue Bots about Human nature, Where Heatwave decides to entrust the young boy to gain a better understanding to Humans where soon enough one of the malfunctioning T-Rex attracted to the lights thanks to Cody's analysis where he cooperates with the young boy by directly divert the T-Rex away as he sent a transmission with Chief Burns where Heatwave alongside Kade created a sludge that would send the rampaging dinosaur out of bay where after transforming himself and frightening his parter as he turns his orange lights to signal the creature towards him before turning the creature towards the sludge before Blades entraps it before Cody shuts it off. afterwards, he alongside their human partners and the other rescue team decide to take a picture where Heatwave stands up towards Kade for deeming Cody not being a member of the team as far as to break his own cover for the latter understanding them better where Chief Burns would reveal to them the Robots were aliens all along before the picture was taken. Despite having less common with Kade due to Cody's wishes for the bots to bond with their companions, Heatwave puts out the flames to save him after disobeying Cody's warnings and soon discovers through Kade's warning of upcoming Lava would come and leak through the firehouse Bunker where he attempts to communicate the situation with Cody but fails to do so, and instructed Grimm to find any intersections of the lava, giving Greene tasking Boulder to sense the perimeters of more mountain roads while Heatwave and Kade drive through one of the tunnels, only to encounter rubble which then he would drive through and successfully crash the rubble, Kade tells him how he knew the solution might work but Heatwave clarified he didn't know it would be effective. They would then encounter one of the sources of the lava flow and attempt to extinguish it, despite running out of water form his water reserves, Kade refuses to back down on Heatwave who offered him to save himself as they defiled the oncoming water, only for Blade to drop the water tank instructed by Grimm, effectively preventing more leaks reaching for the warehouse where both Kade and Heatwave developed a mutual respect for one another despite claiming this wouldn't make them best friends before Heatwave opens his car door to drive him back to the warehouse as they both became concerned for Cody who was fixing the Pinball machine.

In End of Morocco, Heatwave manages to subdue Thaddeus Morocco by cuffing him on one of the ropes of the hot air balloon when the latter attempts to escape and drop Jules Verne as they successfully travel back in time where Jules would erase Morocco's memories and reform him.

Other Appearances

From the Sequel show, Rescue Bots Academy, He appears alongside his teammates who teach new cadets alongside Cody.

In "Robots in Disguise" (2015), he was among the Autobots blacklisted by the new High Council for being a supporter to Optimus.

Personality

Heatwave is a Rescue Bot that transforms into a fire engine and is partnered with Kade Burns. Heatwave is also the leader of the Rescue Bots. He is second in command after Optimus Prime and is equal rank with High Tide. He dislikes the fact the Rescue Bots have to pretend they are mindless robots whenever they are around Griffin Rock's citizens. He is a determined leader but also gets angry easily at sometimes. In "Four Bots and a Baby", he shows his soft side, which he rarely does. His Human partner is Kade Burns. At times he can be quite unruly and thinks of only himself. Which may upset others and fellow bots. To the point where he may even disrespect his team.

Abilities

He shoots water from his cannons. In "Changes", Optimus Prime trains Heatwave into harvesting the energies from within in order to gain another vehicle form. Inspired by a sunken fireboat when returning to Griffin Rock at the time when it was under a weather attack, Heatwave scans it in order to get to Griffin Rock and help stop the fiery cyclones and shut off the prototype weather machine. This now makes Heatwave a Triple Changer Rescue Bot. In "Quarry vs. Quarry", Heatwave gains an Apatosaurus form upon scanning an Apatosaurus model giving him four forms where this form enables him to perform water attacks.
