Trivia
- It is unknown what happened to Hyp's Mother since she did not appear in any movies and she did not appear in the TV show either.
- In a book about The Land Before Time, Hyp's name was spelt "Hip".
- Hyp, Mutt, Nod, Cera, Topps and Hyp's Dad seem to be the only antagonists of The Land Before Time who live in The Great Valley.
- Many fans thinks he is the main antagonist, with Mutt and Nod as the two secondary antagonists, which is false. Fast Biters are the true main antagonists.
- After he framed Littlefoot of wasting the water in the river, his actions also caused Daddy Topps (which he seen him, Nod and Mutt before they fled) to call Littlefoot a "bad influence", only his father, Mutt's father and Mr. Clubtail did not accept this as Daddy Topps was the bad influence due to his bad behavior in the first film before the big earthquake and Littlefoot's Mother's death.
