Lightning Storm is a minor character in Pixar's Cars franchise. He is a superhero who fends off an alien invasion in Lightning McQueen's daydream about Lightning Storm, a movie he dreamed of starring in.

While The King was giving Lightning McQueen advice about being part of a team, the rookie stopped paying attention and instead began daydreaming of what his life would be after he won the Dinoco sponsorship. In particular, he dreamed of becoming a movie star, playing a superhero named Lightning Storm who protected the Earth from alien sparkplugs. As Lightning gave up his victory to help the knocked-out King cross the finish line, and turned down the offer to join Dinoco from Tex as a reward for his sportsmanship, the movie was most likely never made.
The World of Cars Online
In this now-defunct MMO game, a mini-game titled Lightning Storm Space Assault was available to play. The players controlled Lightning Storm as he traversed space and battled Sparkplugs, and eventually their master Zurg, in the form of a train.
Boom!Studios comics
In the "Radiator Springs" subseries, Lightning Storm was part of Mater's tall tale of his career as a secret agent. When Mater was captured by Mr. Thunder, Lightning Storm broke into his lair and blew up a gas cistern, allowing Mater and himself to escape as the villain's lair blew up.
