Litterbug is a mutant who has the appearance of a giant cockroach and a former member of the Chicago Morlocks.
History
In his past Litterbug was a solider in the army. He came from a long line of family who served in the military. Litterbug became a soldier to follow in his father's footsteps and his grandfather's foot steps. During his time in the army Litterbug worked as a mechanic building machines, weapons and robots until his mutation began. Once he gained his powers Litterbug went AWOL. He was proud to be a solider until his mutation happened.
Some point later in his life Litterbug joined the Chicago Morlocks and helped them by digging tunnels for them to move around unseen. Like all the other Morlocks Litterbug first appears robbing a grocery store for food and other necessary things. As the others grab food so they don't starve Litterbug notices an army poster and rips it apart because of what happened to him when he was a soldier.
They return back to the sewers after that they recruit their newest member Cell. Cell learns how the team will go into hiding once they fulfill their wishes. Litterbug mostly stays quiet and keeps to himself only making animal sounds. As the Morlocks go through the tunnels to make their way to the surface. When the group stops resting and preparing before they climb out of the tunnels Postman helps Litterbug to remove his army tattoo off of his hard insect shell with a burning piece of metal.
Once that is done they help Shatter fulfill his wish of rescuing his dog. Next to fulfill her wish is Electric Eve who secretly wants to kill a criminal she used to work for but the team doesn't know that yet. Along the way to fulfill their wishes Litterbug mentions and warns them about Sentinels a few times. The team gets suspicious whenever they hear him talk about the Sentinels. Once Eve kills her former employer the team is not happy with her and most retreat back to the tunnels. But what they see next is a shock to them once outside of the building and back on the streets they see Litterbug fighting a Sentinel and winning.
After they get into the sewers not long after that they run into the cops who have been looking for them for robbery and murder. Trader dies saving Eve and doesn't fulfill his wish of killing the man who exposed him as mutant. After being attacked by Sentinels Litterbug like the rest of the team showed his disgust with Eve lying to them and how she killed a man. Next they fulfill Angel Dust's wish to let her say goodbye to her parents. Then they are attacked by more Sentinels and manage to escape. Once they are safe the team begins to question Litterbug when he talks about the Sentinels again he finally reveals that he helped to create them. As the team gets upset with Litterbug and attack him Postman and Shatter come to his defense and break up the fight.
When the rest of the Morlocks got upset with Litterbug for keeping a secret like that from them he never fought back against the rest of them. When everyone calmed down Litterbug told them his wish was to destroy what he helped to create. Together he and his friends achieved that goal by taking control of a Sentinel to attack the factory that made them. After a long fight the team won and as they escaped Cell gave his life the save his new friends. Angel Dust changed her mind and decided to return home to her parents. The rest of the team stole a van and left Chicago heading south to go into hiding outside of the cities.
Sometime later when M-Day began most of the surviving members of the Chicago Morlocks lost their powers except Litterbug and Eve. When the team left Chicago to start news lives they wanted the chance to have normal lives and after losing their powers they finally had that chance. Litterbug eventually joined the mutant society on the floating island of Utopia. Once there he started to regret moving to the island. He hated how mutants like him were lower than the rest of the other mutants. So when the time came for former mutant villains to attack and take over the Utopia Litterbug aided them. Eventually the island fell after being attacked by outside forces.
Because of his horrible experience in Utopia Litterbug does not wish to join another society where mutants gather together to live in one place. He was not wanted in the Utopia that was supposed to protect and bring mutants together. While the Utopia was thought of as a peaceful place for all mutants it wasn't because mutants like Litterbug were still outcasts and looked down upon by the other mutants. Litterbug has learned how dangerous it having mutants in one location after the Utopia incident he also learned mutants can sometimes be more hateful, cruel and uncaring to their own kind after his experience in the so called great Utopia.
