Locus‑Walker is a mysterious Void ethereal who uniquely mastered Void magic without falling into corruption in Warcraft universe. First introduced in Legion, he later reappears in Dragonflight and pre-The War Within, guiding Alleria Windrunner through the complexities of Void power. His true name is unknown—using “Locus‑Walker” instead, as his real name is said to be dangerously maddening.

Locus‑Walker hails from K’aresh, once a thriving ethereal homeworld. Before its collapse under the Void Lord Dimensius, he served as a technomancer and scholar in a group called the Ravel. He resisted Void corruption even as his civilization collapsed, fashioning arcane shields to contain the Void—but at great cost to his people.

Legion

Imprisoned alongside Alleria on the Nether world Niskara, Locus‑Walker teaches her the doomed art of Void mastery—warning that both Light and Shadow must be integrated, not embraced wholly. When Alleria attempts to leave early, he reluctantly grants it, predicting their paths will cross again.

Argus Mission

On Argus, he assists in confronting the Shadowguard—a group of Void-consumed ethereals—and presents Alleria with dark manifestations of Void threat, such as the revenant Nhal'athoth.

Dragonflight / Pre–War Within

At Telogrus Rift, he reveals the “Radiant Song”—a warning echoing K’aresh’s downfall—and urges vigilance as he senses similar doom threatening Azeroth.
