MechaBot is one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside Amato) of the Mechamato franchise. He is a Power Sphere who is Amato's best friend and gives power to him.
History
Mechamato
Amato spent his life living on Kota Hilir with his father, Tok Aba. After witnessing a comet fall from the sky, he meets up and bonds with a Power Sphere named MechaBot. The two team up together to protect the world from invading Power Sphere hunters and more.
BoBoiBoy Season 1, Episode 1 Extended Version
At Kota Hilir train station, Amato was seen with BoBoiBoy at the train station, Amato told him not to tease Tok Aba too much and be independent. BoBoiBoy said goodbye to his father and says he's going to miss him to which Amato responded that he'll too. BoBoiBoy says goodbye to MechaBot and said that he can't wait to play mechanising games with him again. MechaBot told him to behave well. After boarding the train to go to Rintis Island, BoBoiBoy reminds his father to send him a postcard. Later, after BoBoiBoy was gone, Maskmana contacted Amato and MechaBot to take off before his spaceship landed.
Personality
MechaBot has a hot-tempered, sarcastic and argumentative personality. At first, he refused to accept Amato as his master and even tried to find an opportunity to escape through situations that endangered Amato's life, but gradually they developed a close relationship while facing great threats. When first created, MechaBot had a more polite and obedient character, as shown in the episode "The Memorino Virus".
MechaBot carries himself as a "foil" for Amato's character. He is not afraid to question his master's actions if he feels they are inappropriate. For example, if Amato seems to have no hesitation in doing something, MechaBot also tends to take a cautious stance. He does not like being combined with items that are said to be degrading to him, such as brooms or trash cans.
MechaBot initially liked to eat Black Oil Pizza, but since arriving on Earth and getting to know Amato, he also likes curry puffs.
