Neilnail (Japanese: ニール・ネール, Nīru Nēru), or simply known as Neil, is a supporting character in the video game, Xenoblade Chronicles X. She is a cosmoarchaelogist that joined BLADE with the intent to learn more about different xenoform civilizations. She is also the High Custodian of the Qlurian, who tasks herself with discovering the technology of her people.

She is voiced by Yōko Hikasa in the Japanese version of the game and by Erin Yvette in its English dub.

Personality

Neil is an archaeologist with a strong desire of learning the history and cultures of various xenoform civilizations. She is described as being a warm, affable person that makes her easy to get along with. She tends to get off-topic from her current mission and instead talk more about her personal matters that interest her.

As the current High Custodian, Neil carries a sense of duty of discovering the technology of her people, ensuring it is used with good intents and does not fall in the wrong hands. She is not fond of the customs back on her planet, however, viewing them as being pompous and ceremonial.

She is very fond of Celica, who in turn acts as a loyal servant to her. Because they were born from the same womb plant, Neil views Celica as her little sister and enjoys her overall company.
