Princess Sarah is a non-player character of the 1987 role-playing video game Final Fantasy and its 2022 prequel Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. She is the princess of Cornelia who lived with the royal family in Castle Cornelia, as well as the love interest of the Warrior, also known as the Warrior of Light.
She is voiced in Stranger of Paradise by Yume Miyamoto in Japanese, and Cherami Leigh in English.
History
Princess Sarah was the daughter of the King of Cornelia and Queen Jayne, and has an unnamed younger sister. She was kidnapped and taking to the Chaos Shrine by her former confidant Jack Garland, who was once Cornelia's honorable knight and formerly her lover from the previous time loop, until he had gone rogue after learning the truth of his actual role as a Lufenian agent being manipulated by the very people he once proudly serve, before the actual Warriors of Light arrived later in Cornelia.
The soldiers of Cornelia attempted to rescue her, but Garland, hiding away in the ancient ruins of the Chaos Shrine, was a master swordsman and defeated Cornelia's troops. The King, believed in Lukahn's prophecy and at first believe to be Garland's ransom to hand over control of the kingdom in exchange for Sarah's life after stealing her precious lute, urged the Warriors of Light to save Sarah and pledged to have the Drawbridge rebuilt in gratitude for their service.
The heroes journeyed to the Chaos Shrine where they defeated Garland and brought Sarah back to Castle Cornelia, afterwards she wished for her rescuers to stay but knew that they must complete their quest to restore light to the Crystals. She gave them the magical Lute in thanks and wished them luck on their journey.
Unknown to everyone including Sarah however: Garland kidnapping the princess was a bait for the Warriors of Light to defeat him in order to create another time loop that would send him back 2000 years into the past and become Chaos with the help of the Four Fiends, and the God of Discord variant of Chaos.
