The Rogul of Vicious Voltage is a character from the LEGO Nexo Knights franchise, serving as a tritagonist of The Forbidden Power book. It is one of the Roguls, stone statues created to store Forbidden Powers. It was kept in the catacombs under the Knights' Academy, guarding the power of Vicious Voltage until being discovered and brought to life by Fletcher Bowman and Izzy Richmond.

Biography

Past

Multiple Rogul statues were created by the wizard Merlok to keep the dangerous Forbidden Powers from being used again. The one storing the power of Vicious Voltage somehow ended up in the catacombs under the Knights' Academy and affected the environment, heavily electrifying the air.

The Forbidden Power

Eventually, said Rogul would be discovered by two Knights' Academy freshmen, Fletcher Bowman and Izzy Richmond, drawn into the catacombs by the former's unexplained "feeling". While approaching the Rogul, Fletcher unwittingly used magic to awaken it. The kids took his Forbidden Power, believing it to be a Nexo Power, and left, but then noticed the Rogul following them. Scared, they ran away, but couldn't evade him. Meanwhile, Baron von Bludgeonous sensed the awakening of the Rogul and sent his skeleton knights to retrieve its Forbidden Power. When the skeletons came face-to-face with the Rogul, the latter attacked them to protect Fletcher, only letting one escape. The Rogul followed Fletcher and Izzy back into the academy and was eventually hidden in the former's room before anyone could see him.

During a class the next day, Fletcher saw the Rogul lurking in the halls and went out of the classroom to hide him in the bathroom, before taking him back to his room.

After Baron von Bludgeonous broke into the Knights' Academy and stole the Forbidden Power, the Rogul broke out and showed Fletcher and Izzy the way to his mansion, taking them there. The Rogul broke the walls surrounding the villain's lair, but alerted the guards. Thus, Fletcher ordered him to stay behind a tree instead of following him, and eventually made him obey the order. When Fletcher was in danger, however, Izzy convinced him to come to the rescue. Later, he would assist his master in fighting Bludgeonous, although the baron proved to be too powerful for him to handle, knocking him away and forcing Bowman to fight the villain one-on-one. After Bludgeonous' defeat, the Rogul would stay in the Academy and become a kind of an attraction for other students.

It's unknown what happened to the Rogul after this or after Monstrox's defeat, when all other Roguls turned into stone.

Personality

The Rogul is completely loyal to Fletcher and is only concerned with protecting him, if only due to him having been brought to life by the boy. Despite this, he seems to actually possess personal traits, unlike the Roguls serving Monstrox, such as mimicking his master's laughter. He is apparently also able to feel sadness, as he lowered his head when Fletcher shouted at him and refused to move for some time.
