Ruby Tojo is an antagonist-turned supporting character from the 2007 manga series Rosario + Vampire and its anime adaptation.
She is voiced by Saeko Chiba in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Leah Clark in the English version of the anime.
Biography
Ruby is a witch from the human world. She now resides at Yōkai Academy as the board chairman's aide and continues to work for him in the second manga serialization. Despite not being an official student, she receives permission to become a member of the Newspaper Club as an adviser. The anime omits the presence of her master or the inclusion of her parents, drastically changing the events surrounding her, including the reasons behind her return.
Personality
Originally Ruby had a hatred towards humans when her parents were killed in an car accident while the family was vacationing. Thanks to her being a witch, she was shunned by everybody she ever met, with it only worsening after being raised to hate humans. Once Tsukune and his allies stop her and help her come to terms with her emotions, she drops her hatred and becomes their ally and part of Tsukune's harem.
Contrary to the proper attitude Ruby gives off, she is the most kinky of the girls. She derives pleasure from pain and humiliation, to the point she can't even be negatively affected by normal doses or feel shame; wanting to be submissive to Tsukune in BDSM. When she was getting electric shocks, Ruby enjoyed it a lot. When she kept getting a constant influx of shocks, let's just say... things went too far.
Powers & Abilities
Much of Ruby's magic revolves around a motif of ravens and flora, both as familiars and alternate forms for her to take, her most notable form being her having six raven wings with razor-sharp feathers on her back. Apparently, Ruby has shown that she is a masochist and the biggest pervert of them all during a training exercise for Tsukune to control his ghoul powers, even admitting to Tsukune a desire to be his "toy" while under the Lilith Mirror's influence.
