Spica (born Louis Arneb) is a supporting character in the 2014 Japanese dark fantasy light novel series Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World.Louis Arneb was a member of the Witch Cult and, alongside her triplet older brothers Lye Batenkaitos and Roy Alphard, one of the three Sin Archbishops of Gluttony. Like her brothers, Arneb initially lived for her single-minded desire to consume the identities and memories of others using her Authority of Gluttony. However, after losing her memories and being reduced to an infantile mental state, she became attached to Subaru Natsuki and his friends and was given the new name "Spica."
Appearance
Physically speaking, Spica was identical to her original identity Louis Arneb. She was a young girl around the age of puberty who had light skin, a beautiful well-rounded face, and sharp shark-like teeth. She boasted a slender physique and stood at four feet and seven inches tall. Her eyes were clear blue and her hair was blond and long.
Synopsis
Arneb of Gluttony
Louis Arneb was one of a set of triplets, alongside her elder brothers Lye Batenkaitos and Roy Alphard. She perished in the womb before birth yet, for unknown reasons, her bodiless soul survived and became confined to the Corridor of Memories, the metaphysical location where deceased souls were filtered to be reused in a new life. Arneb was able to interact with the physical world by temporarily possessing the bodies of her brothers, who doted on her yet ultimately prioritized their own desires. Together with her brothers, Arneb was the joint possessor of the Gluttony Witch Factor.
The Witch Factors were abstract sources of supernatural power that granted their bearers a form of ability known as an "Authority," which were related to the seven deadly sins and were considered antithesis to the natural order of the world. The Gluttony Witch Factor granted the siblings the Authority of Gluttony, a power that allowed them to gain the memories and abilities of others by devouring their souls.

- Authority of Gluttony: As a former member of the Witch Cult's three Sin Archbishops of Gluttony, Spica shared the power called the "Authority of Gluttony" with her brothers Lye Batenkaitos and Louis Arneb. The siblings gained the Authority at some point in the past when they absorbed the Gluttony Witch Factor. Befitting of the corresponding sin it represented, the Authority of Gluttony wielded by Spica and her siblings was a power based around eating.
- Memory Absorption: The most infamous power of the Authority of Gluttony was its ability to consume the memories and names of others. Those who had their memories erased would forget everything about themselves, with the exception of basic information such as muscle memory. On the other hand, those who had their name erased would still retain their own memories but would be forgotten by everyone else in the world. If a person had both their memories and name eaten, then they would be forgotten by everyone and would also fall into a permanent coma in which they never aged. The only people that remembered those who were forgotten were the Archbishops of Gluttony themselves and, strangely, Subaru Natsuki. In order to steal a person's name or memories, Spica had to touch a person with his left hand and then chant their name while licking said hand. However, the name chanted had to be the target's true name as otherwise Spica would grow nauseous and be temporarily weakened upon trying to consume them.
