Chief Tarfful is a minor character in Star Wars -Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. He the chieftain of the Wookies and a friend of both Chewbacca and Yoda at the time of the Battle of Kashyyyk during the final days of the Clone Wars.
Biography
Tarfful is a Wookiee chief who is friends with Jedi masters Yoda and Cordova along with many other members of the Jedi Order. Years before the Clone Wars Tarfful decided to help his friend Eno Cordova to uncover the mystery about the force sensitive Zeffo when Cordova's search lead him to many different planets including Kashyyyk.
Tarfful is a Wookiee leader who was chieftain of the city Kachirho during the time of the Clone Wars. He was also granted the rank of general during the Clone Wars. During the Clone Wars Chewbacca was captured by Trandoshans to be hunted for sport along side Jedi younglings as well. Tarfful hired some bounty hunters and took some of his best warriors to rescue Chewbacca and the younglings. Sometime after Chewbacca's capture Tarfful was also captured by Trandoshans who made a deal with Count Dooku to sell the chief into slavery but he was rescued by a squad of Clone Troopers.
Some years later the Wookiees home planet came under attack by the Separatist Battle Droids Tarfful lead his people into battle against the droid army with help from Chewbacca, Yoda and the Clones. During this time Palpatine ordered the Clones to execute Order 66 as this happened both Tarfful and Chewbacca witnessed the Clones trying to kill master Yoda. After what Tarfful and Chewbacca had the attempted assassination of Yoda both of them help Yoda escape.
After the Clone Wars and the rise of the Galactic Empire Tarfful still remained chieftain and general of his people and city. During the years of the empire Tarfful became a freedom fighter leading the Wookiees against the empire. Because of his stand against the empire and his great leader over his people a bounty was placed on his head by the empire.
