Thor Caaan (born Thor Regus) is the main protagonist of The Creation Alchemist Enjoys Freedom. He is the royal alchemist to the Demon Lord.
History
Background
Two centuries ago, a hero was summoned to Thor's world and defeated the demons in the long war against humanity. This resulting in a peaceful border being put up between the two territories; the hero being sent back home afterwards. However, the moronic nobility of the Dalgaria Empire decided use the fact the hero was strong as the factor they should live by; resulting in their downfall.
In Thor's present day meatheads are in charge, being too stupid to see value in non-combat skills and jobs; resulting in the empire slowly falling into disrepair. The solution the idiots came up with? Conquest to gain more territories to hold off the inevitable.
Story
Thor is hated by his father, Bargus Regus, for being an alchemist; abusing his authority to ensure Thor cannot get recognition for his hard work or even a promotion. Eventually the jerk has Thor sent off to the Demon Territory as a sacrifice. However, Thor ends up getting powered up by the dark magic and gains transcendent alchemy skills. Not to mention he is highly valued and respected by his new friends and employer, the Demon Lord Rukia
Thor finds a mail order catalogue the hero left behind and sees several devices and appliances in them; thinking they are what gave the hero the advantage 200 years ago. His goof in not being unable to understand its not face value wording leads to him creating helpful devices beyond common sense in his word. Adding onto his good karma is that Bargus slowly but surely gets humiliated for his stupidity in tossing Thor out; given Thor was already the best alchemist in Dalagaria before his upgrade.
Abilities
- Complete Alchemy: In short: if Thor can think of a way to make something work, he can make it. Often he will hear a voice announcement in his head if something is acquired ir is possible.
Trivia
- Thor uses his mother's maiden name, as he utterly loathes his father.
- Thor doesn't know what hyperbole is; so he takes the exaggerations in the mail order catalogue the hero left behind at face value.
- Thor is engaged to Rukia, Mabel Refrain, Agnis Respalgia and Sophia Dolgaria. He is loved by all four of them; though they each serve a political reason for engagement.
- Rukia is his ruler/boss.
- Mabel serves as a concubine (to ensure spreading of Thor's bloodline)
- Anis is daughter of the demon general (who acknowledged Thor's power)
- Sophia is alter diplomacy to ensure Dolgaria ceases aggression.
