Dim and Sum are supporting characters of DreamWorks' 32nd full-length animated feature film Kung Fu Panda 3, the third installment of the Kung Fu Panda franchise.
They are a pair of of panda bear twin brothers who reside in the Panda Village, often seen having fun with each other. They were later taught Kung Fu by their long-lost cousin Po Ping, which is crucial to stopping Kai the Collector's pursuit in raiding their village. They're also the nephews of Li Shan and Po's late mother.
Dim was voiced by Willie Geist, while Sum was voiced by Al Roker.
Personality
They seem friendly, playful, easygoing, and somewhat lazy. However they are loyal and brave they are ready to help Po to fight Kai's Jombies to protect the village.
Biography
When Po arrives with their uncle in the secret panda village, they are excited and come to greet them. They met their cousin for the first time. They give him a necklace made with dumplings but they eat it with other pandas but tell him they will make an other one.
After Po learns Kai will come to the village to take Chi from every Pandas, they propose their help to their cousin. Then they are trained by Po to learn Kung Fu. During Kai's attack they fight Jombies with the other pandas. They give their chi to Po when he is in the spirit realm with Kai.
After Kai's defeat, they are in the jade palace to learn Kung Fu and Chi Mastery with many other students.
Trivia
- Their names are a play on the Chinese dish called dim sum.
