History
Kung Fu Panda
Zeng is sent by Shifu to send the specific message to the Chorh-Gom Prison, where Tai Lung was being held to say to double anything to keep him segregated, due to Oogway's vision saying that the snow leopard would be escaping soon.
This irony happens just as Zeng arrives at his destination and one of his feathers that Vachir had slapped him earlier falls next to Tai Lung, causing him to force the lock on his chains and flee, echoing one of Oogway's claims that "often one encounters one's destiny on the path it takes to avoid it". Zeng is terrified, but Vachir tries to stop him unsuccessfully, which is followed by an explosion that was caused by Tai Lung.
Eventually, Zeng is spared and sent under threat from Tai Lung to send the message that he is returning.
During the end credits, Zeng is seen putting together the pieces of the Urn of Whispering Warriors, previously broken by Po.
Kung Fu Panda Holiday
In the holiday special, Zeng helps Po prepare for the Winter Feast. He assists him in finding a chef, and he gives him the golden ladle. And then, he warns him of his actions when he accidentally used the wrong gesture on one of the chefs, dishonoring him and his village for eternity. Zeng refused Po's request to undo the mistake, and he was baffled when the panda rejected all the other chefs and ran off with the golden ladle to introduce it to his father.
Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness
Zeng has a minor role in the TV series, but he gets a bigger role in the episode, "Goose Chase". In his other episode appearances, he sometimes delivers important messages to Shifu.
Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny
Zeng goes to Panda Village to send messages from Xiao to Po, Nu Hai, Jing, and Fan Tong.
