Nubby is the titular tritagonist of the 2025 indie strategy arcade game Nubby's Number Factory. He is the seemingly lab-created mascot of the titular number manufacturer, and a tool used in making numbers and prolonging the lifespan of the sun.
His single voice line was likely provided by Ethan Anderson, better known as MogDogBlog Productions, or just Mog, who also voiced Tony and all other supervisors in the same game.
Appearance
Nubby is a small shiny indigo ball-shaped creature with a pudgy face, weak chin, small nose, bulging glassy eyes and small ears. He doesn't appear to be able to move on his own, only being seen moving by being washed through translucent pipes and bouncing around. His voice is only heard if he dies during the boss level Ouch! You Prick!, in which he will calmly say "ouch" or "help me" in a voice resemblant of a regular human's.
Gameplay
Nubby is a small bouncy orb with a deformed humanoid face and ears, as well as indigo skin. There are multiple Nubbys, possibly through cloning.
Nubby is able to bounce off of pegs, popping them in the process and adding to your score which is needed to keep the aforementioned sun from exploding. He can achieve more pegs popped by gaining items from the Shop, Cafe, and Black Market. These items are very powerful, ranging from Electric Sockets and 3-D Glasses to Aliens and "All-Seeing Eyes".
All the items you can find help Nubby achieve the factory's goal of making numbers bigger and bigger, as the numbers get bigger you make your way from the Factory, to the Stratosphere, to The Moon, to The Sun Temple, and in endless, The Universe.
Nubby Lore
The factory's Warehouse manager, Sparkplug, knows all about the Factory, and will provide facts about it, its workers, himself, and most interestingly, Nubby, should he be interacted with.

- Nubby was originally cyan.
- Nubby sports a similar appearance to the item "Poop Butt", which is also a round inhuman creature with a humanoid face, although Poop Butt has pasty white skin (or light-green skin, depending on the circumstances), a different facial structure and a pair of overly detailed feet, whereas Nubby is indigo and limbless.
- Additionally, the sun, for whatever reason, appears physically identical to Nubby (besides having yellow skin). This has curious implications, seeing as Nubby specifically is used for popping number pegs in order to stop the sun from exploding, hinting at a connection between the two.
