You can't see things how I do. My perception is just as fast as I am. The briefest conversation with anyone seems like hours to me.
~ Red Rush to Olga.

Josef, better know professionally as Red Rush, is a minor character in the Image Comics series Invincible and its 2021 animated TV series of the same name.

He was an original member of the Guardians of the Globe known for his immense speed, until being killed by Omni-Man.

He was voiced by Michael Cudlitz, who also played Abraham Ford in The Walking Dead.

Appearance

Red Rush was a young caucasian man with light brown hair and an athletic build.

His suit is predominantly red, a color that symbolizes his incredible speed and energy. The costume also includes light red goggles and a large orange thunder logo on his suit (two red Rs, with the second one being backward in the animated adaptation).

Personality

Red Rush was a very kind-hearted and charismatic man, but he had very little patience due to his speedster abilities. He often abandoned his life a civilian to fight against crime, which caused many conflicts with his wife. Because of his abilities, he frequently underestimated his opponents and relied heavily on physical combat to get through battles.

Biography

Background

Not much is known about Red Rush's background. All we know is that he was a man who grew up in Russia and gained his speedster superpowers in unknown ways. At some point, before the events of the story, he became a member of the Guardians of the Globe and married a beautiful Russian woman named Olga.
