The Spacetime Marines are an organisation on Earth in 2401. They rebel against the TimeSplitters, appearing in the second and third games. Sergeant Cortez, known as their best marine, fights alongside them.
History
In 2401, when Cortez crash-lands on Earth after losing Corporal Hart on the now-destroyed space station, the marines help Cortez to reach the HQ with the Time Crystals that he'd recovered from the Splitters. In the end, they are successful in helping Cortez to go back in time and kill Crow before he creates the Splitters.
Members
Sergeant Cortez
Cortez is the hero of the TimeSplitters games. At the start of the story, he goes to a space station with Corporal Hart to find Reaper Splitters taking the Time Crystals to various places in the past. He retrieves them one by one whilst Hart stays on the space station. Once he gets the last Crystal, Reapers seemingly kill Hart, prompting Cortez to flee with the Crystals, activate the space station's self-destruction, and escape back to Earth alone.
Later on, possibly that same day, he crash-lands near the Spacetime Marine Headquarters and takes the Crystals to the General, where he meets Anya, one of Earth's best scientists. They send Cortez throughout history based on an energy residue left behind by the previous usage of the Crystals. Cortez kills the Splitters before they are created and ends the war before it begins, turning 2401's dystopian Earth into a utopian paradise, where all the humans killed by the Splitters are brought back to life.
Corporal Hart
Corporal Hart is Cortez's genius sidekick and partner. Not just an excellent soldier, Hart is also an expert with all kinds of mechanical and computer technology. She finds her servo-enhanced tritium exo-arm to be a very useful aid in battle situations. She went to the space station with Cortez to defeat the Splitters, but gets killed by one of them, leaving Cortez to escape alone. However, she would have realistically been revived after Cortez's trip through time to make sure the Splitters are never created.
Private Hicks
Known as "Soldier 7" in the TimeSplitters: Future Perfect story mode, Hicks is a low-ranking but fierce soldier who fights for humanity's survival. In "Time To Split", he meets Cortez after he'd returned from space with the Time Crystals, telling Cortez to defend the soldiers with a turret placement.
Private Jones
Private Jones is a footsoldier in the battle against the TimeSplitters, though she doesn't appear in story mode for unknown reasons; this is similar to the TimeSplitters 1 characters Female SWAT and Female Soldier not appearing in "Chemical Plant" and "Docks" for some reason. Despite her name, it is not mentioned whether Private Jones is related to Peekaboo Jones, Elijah Jones, and Mordecai Jones.
Marine Troopers
In the intro for TimeSplitters 2, a single male Marine Trooper is seen lying dead with a sci-fi handgun in his hand, before a Reaper Splitter picks up his body and throws it away. In the Arcade League match "Station Stand", a squad of evil robots attempt to take over the Ice Station asteroid. Here, you control one of the females and team up with the other Space Troopers to secure critical locations and repel the attack. Furthermore, the Arcade League match "Scrap Metal" introduces the Vampire game mode, in which a female trooper - under the guise of an UltraNet operative - dispatches several of the Machinist's ChassisBots, on the orders of the UltraNet headquarters. Although not heavily armored, ChassisBots are very agile, but power drained from them will refresh the trooper's EnviroSuit batteries.

Trivia
- Soldier 2 was voiced by Ian Porter, who voiced much Story Mode dialogue.
- Private Jones uses the pain/death voice clips of Priestess, Cyberfairy, and Arial DaVinci.
- Private Hicks' model is used for all the generic soldiers in "Time to Split" and "The Hooded Man".
- Private Hicks and Private Jones have the same gesture as Sheriff Skullface, Riot Officer, and Koozer Mox, but all five have unique gesture dialogue.
- Private Jones is one of the few TimeSplitters females to wear a full set of armour/clothing, as opposed to most others who dress in skimpy outfits.
- Private Hicks' name is based on Private Hudson and Corporal Hicks from the film Aliens; there's a scene where the new squad leader confuses Hicks and Hudson with one another.
- In Arcade, Private Hicks reuses Jacques Misère and Slick Tommy's voice clips. His voice clips are also shared with the R-100 robots, albeit modified to sound robotic. In Story, he uses a unique voice. He originally used this voice in Arcade too, but for unknown reasons it was changed to Jacques Misère's later in development.
