| ~ Villian standing up to Carissa. |
Princess Villian is a major character in the A Certain Magical Index franchise.
She is the third and youngest daughter of Queen Elizard. She possesses the least power among the three princesses, but she holds the most influence over the people of England. Among the three princesses, her trait is "virtue".
She is voiced by Sayaka Harada in Japanese and Emily Fajardo in English.
Appearance
Villian is a beautiful young woman with long blond hair, which is tied in a sort of ponytail, and white skin. She has blue eyes. She is most often seen in a green dress with a spread out skirt. Included in this ensemble are arm length gloves, a veil hanging from behind her hair, likely as part of her ponytail. Finally, she wears jewelry, like necklaces and earrings, and also a small crown.
Personality
Possessing the trait of "virtue", Villian is an unwavering pacifist who despises conflict and refuses to take part in any action that might cause harm. In contrast to her older sisters, she embodies the image of a traditional princess: graceful, benevolent and selfless. She is highly compassionate and passive, taking others into such high consideration that she barely has opinions of her own.
Because of her kind-hearted nature, Villian is the one who usually goes down and helps the people. She isn't as haughty or self-assured as her sisters and is often looked down upon by Carissa, who views her as "weak" due to her pacifism. Like her mother, Villian has a quirky side of herself, as she is willing to participate in a group photo of Touma, her sisters, and her mother despite the urgency of their meeting. She harbors a crush on William Orwell (aka Acqua of the Back), who rescued her when she was captured by the Spanish Astrological Sect.
Despite her passive personality, Villian can show resolve if necessary and holds the most influence over the people of England. Although she is a pacifist, Villian will do whatever it takes to defend her people. She takes part in the last battle wielding a magic bowgun, claiming that since Acqua and even her servants who can't use magic were willing to fight to save her despite their own fear and continuing to flee won't help them, there's no other choice for her but to stand up and fight to become a princess who can protect everyone from that kind of fear. She shows no fear while confronting Carissa on her own, despite the vast difference in power between the two, and later even shocks Carissa when she shoots her with said bowgun.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Notarikon: Despite her refusal to learn magic, Villian was able to make use of Notarikon after Index's instruction, in order to dispel the Mokkerkalfe.
- Bowgun: During the Battle of Buckingham Palace, Villian wields a custom-made royal bowgun over a meter long, crafted from polished wood with an antique-style scope and a gear-and-pulley reloading system. Enhanced by Anglican magic, it can channel the four elements to produce various spells. By using specialized spiritual arrowheads alongside the Coven Compass' flash spell, she can alter attacks into different forms, such as a massive whip-like surge of water or solid spheres that significantly boost the speed of designated targets.
Abilities
- Charisma: Due to her genuine kindness and pacifism, Villian's disposition gains the trust of the people around her, allowing her to gather forces to oppose Carissa's rebellion.
