| ~ Yes Man |
Yes Man is a major character in the 2010 roleplaying game Fallout: New Vegas by Obsidian Entertainment. He is an AI designed to be helpful and always say yes to any request asked of him. He is central to the Independent ending.
He is voiced by Dave Foley, who also voiced Flik in A Bug's Life.
Biography
Yes Man is an AI developed by Emily Ortal, a scientist in the Followers of the Apocalypse at the request of Benny who manipulated and seduced her into helping him with his scheme to overthrow Mr. House and have Yes Man, who would be completely loyal to Benny take control of House's systems.
After the Courier confronts Benny for having shot them, they can investigate Benny's personal suite at the Tops casino, where they will find Yes Man. Yes Man will happily answer any of the Courier's questions regarding Benny's plans to take over New Vegas, as his programming makes him unable to decline any requests. The Courier can then decide that they want to take over New Vegas for themselves and Yes Man will be happy to help them, as he is programmed to help absolutely anyone who asks for his help.
Personality
True to his name, Yes Man is unable to disagree with anything. His tone of voice is always happy. Even if he is being shot at by the Courier, he will happily say he deserves it, and that the Courier is free to take out their anger on him. He is optimistic no matter what, though at times, it is clear that this optimism is extremely forced, like how if the Courier destroys the Securitrons that were central to their plans to take Hoover Dam from the NCR and secure the region, he will express surprise at the decision and say this makes things more challenging.
Yes Man seems to have a genuine hatred for the Great Khans, calling them animals. He strongly recommends that the Courier wipe them out and will be genuinely delighted if they do. If the Courier convinces the Khans to leave the Mojave, Yes Man says he hopes they get attacked by Radscorpions on their way out.
