Player 072 is a minor character in Season 2 of the Netflix K-drama Squid Game. he was a contestant in the 37th Squid Game and also joined Seong Gi-hun's Revolt.
He was portrayed by Han Dong-won.
Personality
Player 072 is portrayed as a determined and desperate participant who prioritizes survival, is willing to join alliances and the rebellion, but shows limited tactical foresight and aggressive tendencies during conflicts.
Biography
Player 072 was a south Korean man who got in heavy debt and decided to participate the Squid games to pay it off. He passed Red Light, Green Light, the Six-Legged Pentathlon, and Mingle off-screen.
At some point, he witnesses Myung-gi's fight with Thanos and Nam-gyu, then the fight in the bathroom, and 5 people died. This fight results in the Special game, that kills a lot more people. He seemingly joined Seong Gi-hun's team during the Revolt. He developed a friendship with Player 206 throughout the games.
As the team were going up to the control room, the Guards started shooting them in an attempt to make them not reach the control room. Player 072 attempts to shoot the guards, but he is quickly gunned down by them, resulting in his quick death.
