Red Hot is a minor character from the Transformers franchise. He was based on a figure from the 1989 toyline.
History
Red Hot's first chronological appearance was in the Marvel UK story "Dawn of Darkness", which showed him among the Autobots serving with Emirate Xaaron on Cybertron. He assisted Xaaron on defeating a group of demons beneath the surface of Cybertron by overfeeding them wiih energy.
This led into his first Marvel US appearance in Issue #60, where he was one of the Autobots working with Classic Pretenders Grimlock, Jazz and Bumblebee during their time on Cybertron. Red Hot and the rest of the Rescue Patrol were assigned to accompany the trio back to Earth to reinforce the Autobots there. However, an attack by the Decepticon Mayhem Squad meant that, instead of Earth, they were transported to the centre of Cybertron and the location of the Transformers' creator Primus. Shortly after, they were attacked by the Mayhem Squad again. In the battle that followed, Red Hot worked with Grimlock and Stakeout to take down Octopunch, before Xaaron managed to transport the combatants the rest of the way to Earth.
Red Hot made his last appearance in the UK-exclusive story "The Greatest Gift of All", when he and the rest of the Rescue Patrol were assigned to eliminate the Decepticon assassin Whisper. They tracked him through a forest but came under attack from Whisper's teammates in the Decepticon Air Strike Patrol. Optimus Prime ended up recalling them on seeing the damage the battle was doing to the forest.
