Vector Prime is an ancient, one of the legendary Thirteen Primes, created by the deity Primus to be the guardian of space and time. He transforms into an ancient spaceship and possesses the power to control and traverse time and space, although excessive use can weaken him. Vector Prime also wields a powerful sword, Rhisling, which can cut through reality itself, and has a Mini-Con partner named Safeguard, who transforms into a smaller ship or weapon.
As the Guardian of Time and Space, he observes and records events across countless realities, sometimes intervening to protect the timestream.

Vector Prime has appeared in multiple Transformers media, including the Cybertron cartoon series, the related Fun Publications comics, the Aligned continuity novels, and various game series and toy lines. He also features in other media like the official Hasbro website's "Ask Vector Prime" section, and his history is explored in stories such as Beast Wars: Reborn and The Covenant of Primus.
