Firstbourne is one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside the First Spinjitzu Master) of the Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitzu franchise.
She is the mother of all Dragons who resides in the first realm, possessing every element of her offspring, as well as being the ancestor of the First Spinjitzu Master, Wu, Garmadon and Lloyd.
Biography
Past
Long before the existence of the other realms, Firstbourne came into being as the first dragon, quickly giving birth to the others where they enter a never ending war with the Oni. However, one day, a hybrid of both species was born. Both sides tried to get them on their side, but the child, taking the name of First Spinjitzu Master, teamed up with Firstbourne, making the Dragon Armor to try and bring an end to the war. However, when the First Spinjitzu Master failed, he left the realm to make his own: Ninjago, leaving Firstbourne to guard the Dragon Armor until he returned.
As time went on, the Dragon Armor would become a legend, which falsely states that it controls Firstbourne.
Story
After many of her dragons were captured, the Firstbourne raided Dead's End and freed her captive offspring, before returning to her nest. Later, Iron Baron forced Wu to lead him to Firstbourne's nest, believing he could claim the Dragon Armor and control her with it. After claiming the armor, Baron learns this was a ruse, and the Firstbourne encases him in molten rock. After Wu dons the Dragon Armor, he and the ninja fly the Firstbourne and her dragons back to Ninjago, where they stage a final battle against Lord Garmadon and his forces. Following the battle, the Firstbourne returns to her home realm.
When the Oni began to invade the realms, with Faith, she traveled to the realm of Ninjago to warn the ninja.
Powers and abilities
- Molten metal generation - As demonstrated by the Firstbourne in both "Lessons for a Master" and "Green Destiny", she used this power to generate a huge amount of molten metal against Iron Baron and Lord Garmadon encases both of them in it. However, it was of little use because Garmadon used his destruction to defend and counter her attack.
- Elemental Power - According to Jet Jack and demonstrated in "How to Build a Dragon", Firstbourne has "every Element of her beloved spawn" meaning she has full control over the four elements of Creation (Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Earth) and Wind. However, she cannot use Creation or Golden Power.
- Dimensional Portal creation - As demonstrated by the other dragons, the Firstbourne can create portals to travel between Realms and from one place to another or to direct her attacks.
- Dimensional Travel - Using said portals, she can travel to different realms.

- In her set, she is portrayed as Kai's dragon when it is actually Wu who rides her.
- However, she is red, which is also Kai's color, which could be the reason.
