| ~ MePad |
MePad is one of the three deuteragonists (alongside Lightbulb and Baseball) of Inanimate Insanity II, the second season of AnimationEpic's Inanimate Insanity animated web series.
He is one of the two co-hosts (alongside Toilet) of the second season of Inanimate Insanity being MePhone4's more favored assistant after MePhone4 rescued him from Meeple away from Steve Cobs. However, as of the episode "Truth or Flare", he no longer works for MePhone4.
He was voiced by Beatrice Collins for episodes 2-12, and was voiced by one of the former show writers Justin Chapman.
Personality
In the early episodes of the show, MePad is shown to be somewhat aggressive, such as where he mercilessly kicks Box into the portal. However, as the episodes go on, especially after the episode "Theft and Battery", he begins to be more emotional, such as when he tries to get MePhone4 to respect Toilet more despite MePhone4 often not listening to Toilet. He also lets Marshmallow quit the show instead of stopping her, which ends up getting him in trouble in the episode "Hatching the Plan".
Biography
MePad first appears in the episode "Marsh on Mars", where he is introduced by MePhone4 to read the votes. After MePhone4 reveals the prize as oatmeal raisin cookies, MePad quickly objects, stating that 0% of the population likes that kind of cookie before continuing to read the votes. Across the next five episodes, all he does is read the votes for the elimination while also occasionally being insulted by Toilet.
In the episode "Theft and Battery", MePhone4 comes late to the elimination area, but before the votes can be read, MePhone4 suddenly shuts off. MePad still reveals that Cheesy got eliminated. MePad declares the challenge to be to go on some hot air balloons and head to MeCloud to get a new battery for MePhone4. He goes with the Bright Lights, and Toilet goes with the Grand Slams. As the Bright Lights enter MeCloud, MePad stays behind in the hot air balloon. As The Bright Lights run out with the battery, Toilet cuts off the hot air balloon, leading everyone to fall to their deaths. Before that can happen, MePad teleports them back safe and sound, able to reason with Toilet.
In the next episode, when the votes are being displayed, MePad suggests to MePhone4 that Toilet can read the votes, but MePhone4 rejects the idea, and MePad reads the votes. In the next episode, MePad and Toilet are helping MePhone4 brainstorm challenges. MePhone4 listens to Toilet's advice but claims Toilet's advice as his own.
Later in the episode "Kick the Bucket", Marshmallow tries to leave the show’s parameters to visit Bow but is stopped by MePad. Marshmallow eventually runs past him, and MePad tells MePhone4 this, causing him to decide that Marshmallow will be eliminated if she doesn't return in 24 hours. During the challenge, MePad sees the contestants’ progress and it concerns him how none of them seem pleased with themselves. Later at elimination, when MePhone4 asks MePad how he feels about contestant voting elimination, every episode he says he doesn't feel anything at all, and later as Marshmallow heads to Hotel OJ to get Apple, he lets her through.
In the next episode, MePad is displaying a countdown, and when it ends, Marshmallow gets eliminated from the game. At the elimination, MePad displays the votes, revealing Paintbrush to be eliminated. In the next episode, Test Tube sees a flashback from MePhone4. MePad and Toilet reveal the next challenge where whenever a contestant would find a Gemory, they would teleport in front of them and take the Gemory away. At the end of the challenge, Fan, being the last one to find a Gemory, is eliminated.
In the next episode MePad finishes watching the memory that MePhone4 had wanted him to see and is shocked to see what MePhone4 had done to save him and as the two sit down together while MePhone4 thinks about how seeing Steve Cobs' face again made him want to do anything that wasn't his abusive tasks MePad suggests that the show was his which MePhone4 disagrees with MePhone4 states that nothing he had done had been out of Cobs' control, which leads MePad to question why MePhone4 was able to save him, suddenly, a loud noise enters the cave which leads MePhone4 to glitch and generate several items and MePad teleports them both to the showgrounds shortly afterwards where the two arrive at the showgrounds to another noise which glitches MePhone4 again as a large spaceship, which MePhone believes is Cobs appears and shoots a large laser at him and MePhone4 orders the contestants to save Fan who was just abducted after he snuck into the showgrounds before MePad teleports the two away. Inside of the cave, MePhone4 suggests that they remove more memories from their systems and leave the show behind them. MePad is shocked by this and asserts that it would be exactly what Cobs wanted and that if they worked and trusted each other it would be their best chance of survival where MePhone4 cuts him off and asks why he had let Marshmallow leave, and to not lecture him about trust. MePad wonders why he was still there and teleports away where MePad teleports to the showgrounds, unaware that Taco was nearby where Taco swoops in and shuts down MePad before dragging him into a nearby bush and Taco later uses MePad to teleport onto the Egg Spaceship with Microphone in order to enact their plan to get Microphone immunity while Taco is seen teleporting away with MePad after Microphone decides to quit the game.
In the next episode Taco activates MePad and tells him to open up the file about the challenge for today which MePad does and as Taco and MePad watch the contestants MePad asks if she does wants to this leading to Taco's Tirade to happen and as Taco teleports in interrupting the challenge MePad convinces MePhone4 to let Taco take over and after Taco cracks MePad demands MePhone4 to bring Taco back where MePhone4 eventually gives in and recovers her and MePad then quits the show and heads to Hotel OJ to help Taco with her problems with Pickle.
