Repugnus is a minor character from Generation One of the Transformers franchise. He was based on a figure from the 1987 toyline.
Biography
Repugnus first appeared in the Headmasters miniseries where he was one of the Autobots who volunteered to join Fortress Maximus in evacuating Cybertron in the hope of escaping the battle with the Decepticons. The group eventually travelled to Nebulos but were received with suspicion by the Nebulans. Several of the Autobots surrendered their weapons as a gesture of peace, with Fortress Maximus and his lieutenants also removing their heads and deactivating themselves.
Later, after Scorponok's Decepticons had followed them to the planet and captured Fortress Maximus and the other Autobot Headmasters, Repugnus was among a group of Autobots sent by acting leader Pointblank to defend the Nebulan Mercury Gardens from Decepticon takeover. However, they were outnumbered and outgunned, with only Repugnus and fellow MonsterbotsGrotusque and Doublecross still standing when Grotusque ordered the retreat. Soon after, Fortress Maximus and the others were freed and the Autobots chose to leave Nebulos, knowing the Decepticons would pursue them away from the planet.
Repugnus made his only appearance in the main Marvel US comic in Issue #41, where he was with Fortress Maximus' crew as they made contact with the Earth Autobots and viewed a duel between Grimlock and Blaster for Autobot leadership on the moon. Repugnus may have been among those killed when Ratbat's Earth Decepticons launched a massive attack on the assembled Autobots.
