Lightfish, called also Glower the Tadpole, is a supporting character in Donkey Kong video games, first appeared in Donkey Kong 64. His type illuminate the Kongs' path underwater.
Biography
Lightfish is a huge tadpole, or tadpole-like creature, and torch bearer who is only found in the Gloomy Gallon level. He sheds light in the dark depths where the player has to go to find even a single golden banana or a bonus stage for the collection. He follows players out of ship hulls and nothing can destroy him.

Trivia
- The Lightfishes' role of illuminating dark areas inside water is similar to the one of Glimmer the Angler Fish, an aquatic Animal Buddy who appears in the game Donkey Kong Country 2.
- In offical artwork of Lightfish, his face bares a resemblance to Glimmers.
