Xananab is a character of DK: Jungle Climber. He is a perfectly pleasant member of a species of aliens who resemble humanoid, partially peeled bananas and an ally of the Kong Family; Xananab originates from the banana-shaped Planet Plantaen. He works together with Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong and Cranky Kong to get his stolen Crystal Bananas back from King K. Rool and his Kremling Gang. The name Xananab possibly refers to both the character and the species.
History
In DK: Jungle Climber, Xananab, for reasons unknown, ventures to the top of Sun Sun Island on Donkey Kong's planet in his Banana Spaceship with the precious cargo of five powerful Crystal Bananas. After he landed on Sun Sun Island, Xananab got attacked by the evil King K. Rool and his Kremling Gang, who stole his Crystal Bananas and quickly escaped with them in tow. Xananab gives them chase using his spaceship but mistakes Donkey Kong and his allies to be Kremlings and attacks them. The Kongs were forced to destroy Xananab's spaceship to stop his assault before the banana-shaped alien realized his mistake and explained to them the situation. Upon learning that the Kremlings were involved and feeling guilty for destroyed his ship, the Kongs agree to help Xananab retrieve his Crystal Bananas from the thieving villains. During the game, Xananab can somehow know whenever King K. Rool uses a device called a Spirowarp to travel to another world. If the Kongs can find Xananab a Spirowarp, he can send them to the location the villains travelled to.
