Helper Monkeys, also known as Party Monkeys, are supporting characters in Donkey Kong video games.
They are a breed of useful monkeys that love fun and help Donkey Kong in his adventures in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. They are seen in various levels where they help Donkey Kong progress through the game and they count the bananas of the sacred tree. These monkeys also appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Helper Monkeys appear throughout the game to help Donkey Kong in various ways. They are usually seen in floating bushes and can toss Donkey Kong through the air to reach higher areas. They can also be occasionally seen holding onto each other to form a swing for Donkey Kong to get across large pits and appear at the finish of each level or after completing a kingdom. A more competitive variation of Helper Monkeys called Ninjapes exists that will either act hostile towards Donkey Kong or race him to the level's goal.
