Prince Seliph is one of the main protagonists in Nintendo's Fire Emblem franchise.

He is the main protagonist of the Jugdral Duology, being one of the two main protagonists (alongside Sigurd) of the 1996 tactical video game Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and a supporting character in its 1999 interquel Fire Emblem Thracia 776, both games being prequels to the Archanea Saga. He later returns as a supporting character in the 2023 video game Fire Emblem Engage.

He is the son of Sigurd and Deirdre, as well as the older half-brother of Julius and Julia, the nephew of Quan and the cousin of Leif and Altena.

He is the prince of Chalphy, who seeks to stop Julius and the Loptrian Church, and avenge the demise of his father. He would later become the prince of Granvale, eventually becoming the emperor of the nation.

In Fire Emblem Heroes, he is voiced by Yuuma Uchida in Japanese and by Christian La Monte in English, who also voiced Ignatz Victor from Three Houses.

Appearance

Seliph is a young man with long blue hair tied into a low ponytail and blue eyes which is inherited by his father Sigurd. He is shown wearing a blue tunic with dark blue leggings, red and blue cape, white gloves, white belt, white boots, and a white headband.

Personality

Seliph is a shy yet strong-willed boy with great sword fighting abilities and a gentle heart. Due to this trait, he becomes the hope of hundreds of people who see him as the one who can end the tyranny of Grannvale.

Biography

Seliph is the main hero of the latter part, and son of Sigurd and Deirdre. 17–18 years of age at the start of part 2. Because he also has an attached pedigree of MMA, he possesses Granvelle royal throne rights.

After the death of his father, including comrades Lewyn father at Yzak, Seliph is raised by Oifey and Shannan before being released to the order as a child. He was hiding in Tirunanogu Castle however, because it was discovered during the absence of Oifey and Shannan and exits by himself. After Ganesha Castle's elimination, he got a mutually attracted encounter with Julia, while met under the guidance of Lewyn, he will know that he and she are siblings.

When advanced to a Knight Lord, it is possible to switch to cavalry using the "get down" command.

Seliph makes an appearance in Awakening as a DLC/SpotPass unit.

Fire Emblem Heroes

Seliph is a playable character in the gacha mobile game Fire Emblem Heroes. He was added to the game on February 15th, 2017, under the "Family Bonds" banner, and his legendary variation was added on June 30, 2020. He was paired with Leif in his dancer variation who was added on September 7, 2021, under the "Scions of Twelve" banner. A resplendent skin for his normal variation was added on March 10, 2022.

Super Smash Bros.

Seliph appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a advanced primary attack spirit that increase the user's power on sword attacks. His spirit battle is on the Castle Siege stage against Marth and Ike (representing his father) with both increased defense at high damage.
