Tanith (タニス, Tanisu, Tanis in Japanese version) is a major protagonist in the Tellius Duology within Nintendo's Fire Emblem franchise.

She is the deputy commander of Begnion's Holy Guard. Along with Sigrun, she spends her entire life guarding the Empress. Whereas Sigrun understood Marcia's leave of absence from the Falcon Knights, Tanith is not so forgiving, although she later feels some sympathy for Marcia when she learns that she left the Holy Guard because of problems caused by her brother. She also seems to recognize Marcia's ability as a pegasus knight, which is why she pressures her to come back to Begnion's service.

In Fire Emblem Heroes, she was voiced by Mitsuki Nakae in Japanese, who also voiced Selkie, and by Katelyn Gault in English, who also voiced Ladislava in the Fodlan Saga and Jade in Fire Emblem Engage, Fenneko from Aggretsuko, Mirellia Q. Melromarc from The Rising of the Shield Hero, Kisara from Tales of Arise, and Aya Tsuji from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part IV: Diamond is Unbreakable.

Appearance

Tanith is a 24 year old girl with a brown hair, she wears an black armor with gold accent, purple cape and white metalic boots with gold accent.

Personality

Tanith is a Falcon Knight as well as one of the higher-ups in the Holy Guard. As the Vice-Captain of Begnion's Holy Guard, she is an honest and loyal knight who has her full trust in Empress Sanaki. She is known amongst her subordinated for being a strict and feared officer. In fact, she leads the personal guard of Sanaki, and is constantly infuriated that she seems to go and do whatever she pleases without telling anyone.

Tanith is an playable character in the gacha mobile game Fire Emblem Heroes. She first appeared in her bridal variation who was added on May 21, 2019, under the "Bridal Belonging" banner. In November 17, 2021, her normal variation was added.
