Tawks the Parrot is a supporting character in Donkey Kong video games, one of animal buddies and made his only appearance so far in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Background
In the game, when the player controls Donkey Kong, if he goes to Funky's fly 'n' buy shop, Tawks is on a Trespolo behind Funky Kong, and is in funky mode. The player controls Funky Kong and takes the place of manager of the shop, showing off a couple of shades similar to those worn by Funky and standing on his trespolo closest to the screen and takes the receipt of all Twaks purchases.

- When the player exits the shop as Funky Kong, Tawks sometimes says, "Give 'em the old banana slamma, dude!" a reference to Donkey Kong's catchphrase in the Donkey Kong Country animated series.
